The Power Dynamics PRM240 amplifier has six input channels for connecting microphones and music sources. The four output zones are push-button selectable for simple muting or paging to specific zones, and there is a master volume and tone control, as well as level controls for each input.

The PRM240 has a built-in MP3 player (USB/SD) for music or pre-recorded message playback, as well as 24v phantom power to its XLR input for use with condenser microphones. A Bluetooth wireless connection enables easy music streaming from smartphones or tablets.
