Power Dynamics Mixer Amp
PD PDM-M604A 6-Channel Music Mixer with Amplifier
I bought this unit as an affordable and comprehensive unit for the Karaoki singalongs that I run at our sheltered housing scheme. I found that it performs in accordance with the specifications and more than meets our requirements. Reproduction is excellent with no background noise whatsoever even with my very low output dynamic mic. It has 6 channels each with three tone controls, level, pan and effects controls. It plays mp3 files from a usb stick and is supposed to record as well. Though I have not tried that out yet. There are 16 adjustable effects to choose from and the two I have tried work well. It pays to spend time setting this machine up as it can be a bit complicated. You will be rewarded for the effort.
I have two slight grumbles. Firstly, it is a portable sound desk but there is no carry handle! I put mine in a stout shopping bag. Secondly, the headphones only work if you turn up the main power amp volume controls, even though there is a separate headphone control. Alternatively, you can press the appropriate bypass buttons(called Solo on this machine). Then the headphones work on their own but you get no sound effects. I just pull the speaker plugs out.
I am very pleased with this mixer amp and have given it 5 stars as it is so good for the price.
